*Just For You*

“This is my prayer for all of us—'Lord, increase our faith.' Increase our faith to bridge the chasms of uncertainty and doubt. . . . Grant us faith to look beyond the problems of the moment to the miracles of the future. . . . Give us faith to do what is right and let the consequence follow.” -Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

Lazy Summer Days

What a great summer this has been! We have been having an absolute blast. The beginning of the summer was full of vacations and now we have been taking it easy enjoying the wonderful hot weather! Finally! Did it seem like spring lasted an exceptionally long time to anyone else this year? It was crazy. But now its nice and hot. I'm not one to complain about the heat. I could never be too hot as long as I have some shade and a water fountain I'm good to go. I love playing in the heat. Every Wednesday we get together with a group of friends for some volleyball up Provo Canyon. We start as soon as the snow melts and play until the snow falls. Its always a great time and lately we have been getting pretty good. Haha the boys are great of course and us girls sure try hard, but I know its hard for them to watch us struggle. By hard I mean frustrating haha. They try so hard to let us play, but sometimes it just gets old and they jump infront of us cuz they know we'll just mess up. LOL but I know I have gotten better since we first started playing. Its a slow process but bear/bare? with us boys! Anyways its always fun and I seriously look forward to it every week!
So I started a new job. Full Time! Its kind of crazy cuz its graveyards but I have actually quite enjoyed it. I am working at Orem Community Hospital doing housekeeping. Its awesome because there is no one there while I'm there and I just listen to my ipod and clean. I clean the OR, Same Day Surgery, PACU, and ER. Its super easy and really nice. I was worried about the 10-6 shift, but it has worked out perfectly with Tim's work schedule where he gets up with TJ in the morning and TJ is up for a few hours. Then Tim puts TJ down for a nap and makes sure the monitor is on in our room before he leaves for work. TJ being the perfect baby that he is lol sleeps for atleast two hours and then I wake up when he does. We have all day to hang out and then Tim comes home usually by 8 and then I leave around 9:30. It has been wonderful and yes Tim and I do find time to be together. It seems like there would never be any but we make it work. His days off are usually Tuesday and Wednesday and so once I wake up on those days we have all day to hang out until I go back to work. And my days off are Saturday and Sunday so we hang out together those days before he has to go to work. It seeems to be working out really well. Tim is going to try to take all online classes this next semester (and by all I mean two lol) so he can still keep the same schedule but we'll see. Its really nice to have the paid time off and the hospital benefits I get are less then half as much as the ones Tim was getting for the same coverage so thats AWESOME. Plus its so nice not having to deal with people after being a waitress for 4 years lol. People are just crazy sometimes...well like 90% of the time.
Well we have been having a really fun summer and seem to be getting by!

Proud to BE an American!

We had such a fun 4th this year. It was kind of bitter-sweet for me. Ever since before I can remember my family has gone to Missouri for the 4th of July. In all 22 of my years I think maybe 3 haven't been spent there...counting this one. I was lucky enough to go out last year, but had to put it off this time. Its strange how life changes. What once was a common tradition slowly becomes less and less practical. You have to start picking between two good choices. Whats good for your new family, or whats good for your old. Strange...but good at the same time. We build new traditions and still hold on to some of the old. I know that we will spend another 4th with my family (next year?) but it still is a little different to not be there. Just wanted you to know that I missed you guys!!!! LOVE YOU

Um...my kid is getting HUGE!

The biggest premie the world ever saw!!!
SO TJ just had his 9 month well check. Yeah I know technically hes like 9 1/2 but whatever. Um so here are the numbers!

Weight: 20 lbs 8 oz
Yes my 10 week premature baby is 20 POUNDS at 9 months!

Height: 28 inches
I hope he'll be tall like his daddy. I'm not worried.

Yeah he's a monster! I told the nurse "I guess he's just catching right up!" and she replied "oh was he small?"

UM YEAH! He was 10 weeks premature! 3 lbs 13 oz and 16 1/2 inches.

She was completely floored. Said you would never know.
Yeah he eats alot!
