*Just For You*

“This is my prayer for all of us—'Lord, increase our faith.' Increase our faith to bridge the chasms of uncertainty and doubt. . . . Grant us faith to look beyond the problems of the moment to the miracles of the future. . . . Give us faith to do what is right and let the consequence follow.” -Pres. Gordon B. Hinckley

Fun Stuff :D

I spent this last week refinishing an old dresser that I used to have at my parents. They were no longer using it and I really needed a dresser of my own..don't get me wrong I love sharing with my husband lol...but I felt it was time to have a place for my clothes :D
This is the original dresser. At first I wanted to strip it and restain it, but come to find out its not real wood...big suprise. So I just sanded it and spray painted it black!

Step #2 Primer!

The finished product!!! It turned out so much better than I was even planning! I'm so happy with how great it looks...I guess I do have a green thumb for craftiness! :D

I had so much fun I painted our nightstand also :D It also was a fake wood brown. Its fun to have some new things...even if they are old/new things!

Missouri 2008

Yay for summer vacation! What would I do w/o my annual Missouri trips. I go every year but this was the first time in 2 that I was there for the 4th (a family tradition). It was so great to spend some time with my family and to see all my MO fam. Sadly Tim couldn't get work off so he wasn't able to make it, but sometime we will both go out together. I drove out with Mom, Dad, JB, and Charlie. It was pretty great and I even drove quite a bit. I think Dad only drove the first day and maybe a little of the last. I'm sure he's grateful for all the drivers in the family now! Then I flew home cuz I could only stay a week, not the typical 2+ weeks :D. It was such a great vacation and I was so thrilled to see everyone again!

Tort! The Turtle

Every year since as long as I can remember my dad would have us look for a turtle while we were in MO. We would always see them on the side of the road (usually squished :S)....but he wanted one we could take home. I think there have been a few times we've found some, but last year they found a turtle and brought him back to Utah! Tort was a good turtle. He hibernated (spelling ?) through the winter and didn't eat a thing! Then in the summer they drilled a small hole on the edge of his shell and had him hooked up to a dog run in the backyard! HAHA I can't believe he survived!
This year my dad decided to release him back in the wild. We took him with us to Missouri and set him free!LATER TORT!

*FIREWORKS*

We do our own fireworks! In Missouri they are very huge and very legal. This year they were great. Uncle Brent and Charlie launched them off :D. There were a lot of big ones but I only got a few pictures.
