{sleepy heads}
Oh how much I love them. My boys.
I love October. Pretty much October, November, and December. The feeling of the holidays is just awesome. But October is the best. I love the weather change, decorations, and Halloween. One of these days Tim and I will start having an annual costume party or maybe start being members of someone else’s haha. I just love the idea of getting all dressed up and partying with friends and family. Pretty much the greatest. Or perhaps we should just move to Missouri and crash the Doan’s annual party lol. They would have us I think. Anyways you get the idea. I just love this season! It makes me feel really ambitious. Tim and I spent all day today finishing up our nearly 2 year paint project. Not that it was a TON of painting. Just two rooms. That's pretty embarrassing. We just kinda put it off..and off..and off some more. So I’m thrilled to finally be done. Well like 90% done haha. I still need to cut in one small section in the family room, above the TV and paint the doors in our bedroom. But it will happen. THIS WEEK.
{TJ eating breakfast this morning..yummy Malt.o.Meal}
He is getting so big! It is so shocking every time I pick him up. He keeps growing and growing. He is catching up so fast. At his two year check up his weight was in the 39th percentile and his height in the 62nd. He’s ABOVE average in height! We are so thrilled. Its amazing. Every time I hold him he makes me baby hungry even more. We have been trying for about 2 months now and no baby brewing as far as I know. I’m not concerned at ALL 2 months is nothing but I’m just anxious and excited for a “little”. That what I tell Tim all the time:
“I miss my little. TJ is not a little anymore.”
Its really quite sad how quickly they grow. He literally says at least 100 words. I really need to start making a list of it all. He is so far ahead of me now though haha it would take forever. He is saying full phrases. It shocks me. Such a sweet little boy.
This is how it feels to me! I just want to grab him and say:
“SLOW DOWN!”
He is constantly moving. Running, climbing, flipping, throwing, screaming, playing. Being a Boy! I love every second of it. But want to slow it down.
TJ is rocking a buzz cut right now. I have been cutting it myself for his whole life and lately its easiest to just pin him down and buzz.it.real.quick! He is screaming and crying by the end but it takes about half the time of trying to cut it with scissors. And he ends up screaming and crying either way so might as well make it a shorter traumatizing experience.
{these pictures were actually taken in September}

{TJ’s typical stoned, won’t look at the camera face}
{rolling down the hill with the cousins..TJ’s is more of a scoot}
So Spanish Fork has a pretty fantastic new park. We love it. For whatever reason TJ is afraid to climb up and go down the slides. Don’t really know what his deal is. He used to go all the time by himself and now he gets terrified. He never fell as far as I know..but he’s afraid. So we spend most of our time at the park walking around, checking things out, sitting on the swing for about 2 seconds, and throwing wood chips. But this park is awesome and we love it anyways lol.
{Milo~Our Pup}
He likes to sleep on the couch in the weirdest positions.seriously.I have about 100 pictures of him doing strange contortions. I always say:
“That can’t be comfortable Milo.”
And then snap a pic.
Life is Good.
it’s an addiction
We are in LOVE with Lake Powell. I would literally live out there from June to August and be so satisfied with my life. It is so amazing and just such an escape from reality. We were totally bummed to only be able to go out once this year. TJ had such a blast both times that we went last year that we were really looking forward to it again. We went the first week in June. The weather and the water were ideal! Obviously it was the beginning of the summer so I apologize for the whiteness right now. haha. My bro JB was able to come with us this time. I think he had a pretty good time with us. I think we’re pretty cool people. Of course Tim’s parents were there and his bro Allan. We always have such a chill time with them. We love it!
The first night. By the time we got everything set up it had already gotten pretty dark but we couldn’t miss the chance to get out there in the sand and play.
TJ and I going down the slide on the house boat. I wanted to take him down it last year but everyone told me he was still too little. They were probably right. But this year he was big enough! So we went. I think he liked it at first but after a few times it started to scare him. We’ll see how he does next year!
*The Sandcastle*
JB, Tim, and I were pretty proud of ourselves. This thing was amazing! Of course all the decorative features were done by me. Guys don’t think about that kind of stuff. But check out those sea shells. They were pretty sweet. And the dead tree out in front. That looks really nice =]
TJ and Mommy
TJ being adorable. He loved riding in the little cart for carrying stuff to and from the docks.
Somehow these are the only pictures we managed to get. I guess we were just having way to much fun haha. But there were a lot of good times on that trip. I will never forget the major air I caught on the Death Biscuit. It was epic.
We will miss you Lake Powell.
Until next year =]
