Good Stuff!

So TJ's appointment went great! His shunt is still perfectly fine. And also...his blood-clot is gone! Pretty amazing huh! Dr. Brockmeyer (TJ's Neurologist) said they would keep the shunt in still because there is no reason to do brain surgery if he's doing perfectly fine. He said that if the shunt ever breaks and he still is doing fine then they would go in and take it out. He also said that if he grows out of it in the next few years and he seems to still be doing fine then they would take it out also. But for now he still has it...but hes a perfectly healthy little boy! Its so exciting. We love to see the huge strides he's taking. Its amazing to look back and see how he started out and how he is doing now. We feel so blessed and know that all of our prayers were answered!

Spring YAY!

Is anyone else excited about the beautiful spring weather?!?! I sure am. I love this time of year. Finally the weather changes and its time to plant some flowers. Its warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the sun. Tim and I spent all afternoon yesterday cleaning up the yard and getting it ready for summer. I planted the first flowers of the season..and even some of my flowers from last year are coming back! That always seems like a big accoplishment. We're hoping to get our back yard finished this spring, but we might only get as far as putting the fence up and getting the patio poured. We refinanced on our house this last week..and lowered our intrest rate almost an entire point. Thats pretty crazy considering we bought our house less than a year ago. Its always nice to be able to save some $$$ on that lovely thing called a mortgage. It seems to take a pretty big chunck out of our pocketbook...but the benefits are good and plenty. TJ is just cruising right along. He is getting so big! Its just so shocking. I've had several people guess that he's 7 months old..and guess what..he is! Really he is just catching up so fast. We got some pretty scary news a few weeks ago. The shunt that TJ has in his brain got recalled. YUCK! I guess that a small percent (like 2%) were malfunctioning and wouldn't drain properly. This would cause problems because the fluid in his head wouldn't have anywhere to drain causing it to back up and his head to swell. Well luckily he doesn't seem like hes having any problems with it, but they are offering a free CT scan to get everything checked out. They said that if there aren't any problems with it that theres no reason to mess with it, but if they ever have to go in and fix anything that we should have it replaced. He has his appointment tomorrow to get everything checked out. Other than that we don't really have any big news. We've just been hanging out enjoying the wonderful weather!

Heres a few of my favs from the temple! We didn't get very many of TJ because he decided that it was nap time, and it was pretty cold.

I'm kind of obssesed with the sepia pictures lol. Jared (our photographer) gave us copies of all the pictures in b&w, full color, and sepia. I think he did a pretty great job! Now I just have to choose my fave to get framed! :S

Life is Good.

Pretty much we just accomplished the biggest goal we had set for ourselves. It was amazing and I am so thrilled beyond all comparison that we finally did it. The temple was great! I really loved it. We had so many family and friends that made it. We really are so blessed with support from our loved ones. Misty and Jake's little family came from Missouri and Lacy and Lukie came from New York. That was a long way to come and we were so happy to have them here. I feel bad because I couldn't find my camera the whole time they were here and come to find out it was sitting in the front seat of my car! Yeah I'm lame..its cool. It was such a great week, but came and went to fast. Thank you to all the other family that came to support us. We love you so much! We don't really have anything exciting going on the next few weeks. I'll post our temple pics on here when we get them! Thanks so much everyone!
